QR Barcodes

A QR Code is a matrix code (or two-dimensional bar code) created by Japanese corporation Denso-Wave in 1994. The "QR" is derived from "Quick Response", as the creator intended the code to allow its contents to be decoded at high speed.

QR Codes are common in Japan, where they are currently the most popular type of two dimensional codes. Moreover, most current Japanese mobile phones can read this code with their camera.

In the States this is mainly popular among Blackberry users.  I'd like those of you with a Blackberry to try something out.  Install Blackberry Messenger 5.0, it has a built in QR Reader.  From the main Blackberry messenger window select to "scan group barcode"

Now your Blackberry will open its camera.  Aim your camera up to your computer screen at the below image and wait for it to focus.  I think you have to get in really close so do that if necessary.

Your phone will automatically read the QR code and give you an option.  I won't give away the secret of what it is, but every person in the clan with a Blackberry will enjoy it.
