Best Monitor?

LukeSun Sep 29, 2024 2:15 am

So, I have had the same monitor on my computer for over ten years now. Any recommendations for a new one? I have noticed it's starting to look a bit dim.

Asking what's a good screen is like asking what kind of car to buy.  So many options.   Price range?   Screen size preference?

I've ran a 32" for years.  my last one was flickering and not powering on I kept having to unplug it and plug it back in.  i picked up this 34" uw from costco
last summer and while it looked smaller I've gotten use to it. and less space with a monitor above it. which is a 27" ips i got from best buy on sale for under $100 so got a few.
4 screens total.   downfall of the ultra wide is not all games support it.   it measures 13 1/4 tall and the 27 is 13 1/2 tall if this helps in deciding.  and 31 wide vs 24 wide between them.

Imo a 27" is good enough but the 34 sure looks cooler ha-ha.   a O-led is gonna be the ultimate in brightness and quality but it's also 3x if not more the price.  I still can't justify paying over 300
for a monitor when a 70" tv is $400 now.   hope this helps
