Taken from evenbalance.com

My game crashes with an error in pbcl.dll or a General Protection Fault. Why?

This issue can be from a program that conflicts with PB. There are a few known program that cause this:

   * Get Right
   * DU Super Controler
   * Macro Toolsworks
   * Girder 3.2
   * PRTG Traffic Grapher
   * CyberCorder: cybrcrdr.exe
   * Paessler Router Traffic Grapher: prtg4.exe
   * 3dnasys.exe
   * mIRCStats

Closing those programs, or any like them that contain user or kernel level debuggers should stop the problem.

Alternatively, this may be an issue as well.

May have corrupt drivers. Hope you backedup your prestiges/ranks. You may need to reinstall.

Man that"s a tough one.  What OS are u using.  Do you use xfire or Steam?  You may try updating PB manually.  One common solution that I found was to change your sound card to 16bit in control panel/sounds.  This was supposed to be fixed in the latest patch but maybe some are still having issues.

I would try driver uninstall/reinstall.  Not the games as of yet.

Sorry forgot to add this link for some common problems with W@W
