Info on "hybrid" hard drives

VenocideWed Jan 29, 2014 7:07 pm

I'm looking to do a full system redo on my most current rig. I have been looking at these newer Hybrid Hard drives. I guess a higher speed HDD but also has a SSD for cache and boot. Any of you guys use these or know more about them? It looks pretty tempting as I could have the best of both worlds into one piece of hardware.

Also, good place to get a cheap full copy of windows 7 64 bit?

If you know anyone that is going to college sometimes the bookstore will have copies cheap.  I have a Win 7 64 Ultimate and paid $35 from IUSB.  Not sure if they will still have copies with 8 out but its worth a try if you know someone.  There was a limit to one copy per student.  I was able to get the VA rep at IUSB to get me a copy.

I didn't even think about that. I'll check the bookstores around here, we have 5 college bookstores here for the two colleges.

What about ur input on the Hybrid Drives?
