So I saw this stuff on Amazon.com so I figured I'd try it. Let me tell you, it really works!! My keyboard is like new and I've had this G15 since they came out many years ago. All you do is press it into the keys and pull it off. It is like the Slime we had when we were kids, (I'm sure some of us remember that stuff).

I used one of blobs on my laptop and desktop keyboards a couple ears ago - it worked ... well enough. Certainly worth a couple bucks. But they dont; take too long to tunr into a sticky glob of grossness after opening and exposing it to air. I still prefer to use a can o' "air" on my laptop, and pop the keys off my desktop keyboard for a thorough clean. Though, you'd be surprised what you can get out of you just flip your keyboard over and smack it on your desk a few times.
But I imagine these would be nice for scissor-type key mechanisms, where they can be tough to pop off without breaking.
I think some of the other cheaper stuff may turn into a big mess, but this stuff has been at room temp for a few days and still working great. No sticky mess or residue left behind. And it got all the keys clean even in between. I've use the canned air and a brush and still this stuff did a much better job. I did flip the keyboard over and give it a good mask to get all the loose stuff though. You don't realize what a crumb catcher these things are until you bang them out.
I flip my keyboard over between rounds in BO, just for a snack mind you... but yeah the stuff that gets caught in there is welllllll, an awesome storage place!
