Ok, so I recently got Black Ops installed. Looking at downloading one of the map packs from steam. Only have budget to do 1 right now. Which one would you guys suggest?

Hmm... I would say Annihilation has my favourites, overall.

But keep an eye on the Steam sales - just a few weeks ago they were all half price.

FYI we have 2 Back Ops servers. #1 runs all DLC, and #2 runs only original maps. You can certainly join server 1 if it's running a map you have, but you'll get dropped when it loads a map you do not have..

Thanks for the info Abram. I see server 2 on the list, but there is hardly ever anyone in there. And just my luck on missing the sale. I will have to keep a watch on it.

Yes server 2 can be pretty inactive, especially at night. But we've been holding Shotgun Fridays on ,... Friday, on server 2, and it stays fairly active.

Here's a list of the original + Annihilation maps, so if you see server 1 running them, come on in!

Bags, it's hard to say what time I play black ops. I'll jump in when there are too many rifle nades in WaW, or when there are some maps on there that I don't care for. I'm still getting a feel for black ops, not that good at it yet.

Well Black Ops still has the underslung grenade launchers (aka "noobtubes"), so you won't escape that altogether. I love Black Ops, but I still can't help but rolls my eyes when i get tubed.

I just started playing W@W recently and I found the transition from Black Ops to be pretty smooth - I manage to do fairly well on most maps. It's getting to know the maps that is the difficult part.

i hear ya LOS-Strutter im not that good at it either lol i think i got 12 hrs in to now.

Yes, getting the feel for the layout of the maps is my biggest challenge. Really like jungle and Havana.
