I feel like the rotation of Server 2 kind of has a long period of Infantry Maps followed by the Air Maps then back. I was just wondering if we've ever tried flipping back and forth from Air to Infantry to kind of mix it up a bit.

Here's the current rotation:

Grand Bazaar (Infantry)
Strike at Karkand (Infantry)
Caspian Border (Jets and Helo)
Sharqi Peninsula (Attack Helo)
Damavand Peak (One Helo)
Gulf Of Oman (Jets and Helo)
Kharg Island (Jets and Helo)
Noshahr Canals (Jets and Helo)

I feel like it would be better to mix the Jets and Infantry more like,

Grand Bazaar (Infantry)
Caspian Border (Jets and Helo)
Strike at Karkand (Infantry)
Gulf Of Oman (Jets and Helo)
Sharqi Peninsula (Attack Helo)
Kharg Island (Jets and Helo)
Damavand Peak (One Helo)
Noshahr Canals (Jets and Helo)

And have we ever thought of mixing Wake Island, Operation Firestorm, or Operation Metro into the rotation? Metro and Firestorm are usually pretty popular.

Just wanted to get other peoples take on this and since I wasn't able to talk to Luke about it get his take as well. Could very well be that there's a reason for the current rotation I'm sure there is some kind of purpose I was just wondering what's been tried before I guess.

A few of your ideas we have already done. Metro was on the server most of last week. Sadly once the server was over 30 people it did more harm then good. Yesterday we had 64 people on the server and before the map was over we where down to 28 people.

Wake and Firestorm have booth regularly appear on our servers.

As for the rotation we mix it up every week.

I don't think of Karkand as Infantry only. Way to many tanks and APC.

The rotation is very carefully considered to be a mix of popular maps and non so we don't put to many non popular maps side by side that will drive people away.  

The rotation you suggested is almost exactly what we did just over a week ago with

Grand Bazaar (Infantry)
Caspian Border (Jets and Helo)
Strike at Karkand (Infantry)
Gulf Of Oman (Jets and Helo)

is exactly how we had it. I find mixing it so people don't get board always knowing what map is next helps keep people interested in our servers.

Ahh ok, so we're just in a phase where when I log on it happens to be the same maps each time it feels like so maybe it will shift soon. Thanks, was wondering about that.
