Did you try testing your voice? I'm pretty sure i saw your name light up when you were on yesterday, woudl implies that your hotkey is working. On the 'Capture' section of Teamspeak options, you can set the Hotkey, then hit 'Begin Test" (uh, i think). then you hodl whatever hotkey you set adn when yuou speak, the sound level meter will show show your loudness. If the meter does not do anything, then your voice isnt; being captured - in whcih case either you have not select the correct input/capture device, or the one you have selected may be muted.
Oh, and is you TS up to date?

Check your windows level; on the record section of your sound icon (right click the icon and select record) you will see a tab that says level. It has a slider bar on it; if it is below 50% then you probably need to increase it. It could also be that for some reason your head set is not set as the default communication device, so it doesnt work. The other place to look is in ts options, make sure your headset is listed on the drop down list on the record page. Then the obvious which I have done, make sure you dont have an inline mute switch and its on.

Got it resolved for the time being. Bought a new headset (Which I did need) and it is currently working. Thanks for all your help with this.
