This is probably like Black Hawk Down where they are use real seals for only a few shots. Where their faces are mostly covered with helmets and safety glasses.
Act of Valor began as a recruitment video for the U.S. military's Naval Special Warfare Command. In 2007, Mike McCoy and Scott Waugh of Bandido Brothers Production filmed a video for the Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen which led the Navy to allow them to use SEALs for Act of Valor. None of the SEALs' names will appear in the credits of the film
This is from the films website...all seals portrayed are actual serving Navy SEALs currently assigned to a SEAL team...the story line is fictisous though...but live ordance was used

Ok, not going to lie, this was an amazing movie. I'm 26 and not an eye in the theater was dry at the end. Even I had tears in my eyes! God bless our troops and the sacrifices they make for our nation!

Go Navy Seals the most elite fighting force out there. UFANS might take exception that claim but then the Marines are just a subsidiary of the Navy

We are a department of the Navy..... The Mens Department!!  LOL
