Embarrassment

Today I logged onto TS and went in game on Server 2. As I was playing I would chit chat with the members on TS, but I never got a response from anyone. No big deal, because when I play, I might not answer too. I continued to play and try to report some payers who were in violation of the rules, but still no answer. So I start thinking, "Are they shunning the new guy?" After about an hour, I jump out of the game and look at my TS client. I check to make sure that I see the light when I push the button. I try to to chat with the members once again, still no answer. I start thinking to myself, have I made someone upset.
I decide to check my headset and make sure everything is setup right. Low and behold, my mic wire was not plugged in all the way. I had to make a few adjustments on TS and they heard my booming voice. I fell like a fool, I was chatting to myself for about an hour.
I don't know, are you guys sure you want me wearing your tags?

My headset has this wonderful in-line mute that my daughters think is funny to switch to mute on good old Dad. It happens to me all the time.

If it did does not happen to you at least once a month then you do have a problem.

I do this all the time. My logitech has a mute button the size of Texas, and I'm always hitting it by accident. I only realize that it's muted when I can't get Falcon to talk back to me...he'll talk to anyone...so there's a good benchmark for you.

LOL Lama Yes I will talk back only if I haven't muted my own mic by accident. Done that too many times
I only realize when someone makes a comment about me being to quiet.

PD_Blue, I just had to laugh at the end of your post. No worries Sir, you are not the only
one to do this. I on many occasions find myself talking to thin air only to find my
mute button on my headset blinking. I usually find out when someone on TS starts razzing
me for not responding to things being said to me.
Welcome to the Clan, we are glad to have you here with us.
