We are looking at making the boot camp server public on days its not being used. We will have it set up as a wild card server where the rules will be different and maps will be different from the other servers. This is a place where we can do or try almost anything CTF, Shotguns only, running disabled different speeds or anything you can think of.

We are looking at starting this later this week as a trial run and see what happens. This is a test run and we will be offering different rules and settings regularly. It may be at some point be set up so Monday is set up one way and on Wednesdays are set up a different way.

If you have any suggestions on what you would like to see in the wild card server please post here and let us know.

That's a brilliant idea in my opinion, i really like playing shotguns only but playing shotgun only on the polite and freindly servers usually gets spoiled, so to have the boot camp as a shotguns only for a little wile a day would be a really good idea thanks for coming up with this idea

Maybe we can run some Hardcore Search and Destroy.

I would recommend using the same kind of run limiter that the 509 uses. If it is successful it could cut down on the need for admins and would help reinforce the run rules on the other servers. Basicly you can go a couple steps running and your health decreases  while you get a couple (2) warnings third time you get a time out. It's automatic and leaves no room for argueing or denial.

Perhaps you could change the game every day. Mondays are shotgun. Tuesdays ctf. etc etc. Keep the schedule the same so people that like that game know they can play shotguns on monday or ctf on tuesday. But the run limiter is what would make all our lives easier. Then if there are days with low turnout you can try something different that day until you find a popular genre as it where.

We'll need to consider the different time differences world-wide when setting it up also. Yeah I think a great idea. We could also include some of the maps we don't normally use such as Dome for shotguns-crouch only. That is a hoot!  Chuck in some doggies and as Big Duke stated - Artillery. Throw it in the mix and see what happens. The run-limiter is a valid idea worth pursuing in the Wild-Card server too.

Lets do something really exiting like ... like ... like run & bunny hop only!!!
