"RESTRICTION: service communication failure PnkBstrA.exe"

I have followed Abrams install directions and still get this error.

did you restart your computer after all his instructions?

if reinstalling didn't help. do this if you have a CD version of WAW.

Right click on waw multiplayer. and click on " run as administrator "

click yes and go back in and try and re-enter the server. get one kill.

if it didnt kick, viola works.

Steam version and did re boot, still same error

try and make a desktop shortcut from steam and do the right click, run as from there.

Make sure you grap the bit version also( 64 or 32 ) Also delete what's in your folder now and replace it with the new files, this should fix it.

Sounds like your Service is disabled. Punch "services.msc" into the Run dialogue, scroll down to PnkBstrA, right-click - Properties, select Automatic in the pull-down menu, and restart. maybe run the PB installer once more. When it finishes, it test the PB services to make sure they are running properly. There's some troubleshooting these services in this thread:
