I am by no means an expert on Windows OS, but if anybody has any questions on Windows 10, I would be more than happy to try my hand at helping with any issues. I have been using it for a couple days and am somewhat familiar. Feel free to send me a PM.

Kesh what I was thinking was people that have Windows 10 can put tht banner on and so if people have questions about Windows 10 they can look for people with the banner on.

That is a good idea Shane. I think that would work well.

They have a roll back option, not sure how that works out, but I believe in the fact that you will indeed like what you see and feel, only issue would possibly maybe a driver issue for some...

i've been looking it to upgrading for gamers, my main concern is support of older games and steam games, but from what i have found windows 10 gives a small performance increase over windos 8.1 and even more from windows 7.

if anyone can confirm it would be nice.

the other concerns i have are over driver support, are there ofical non-beta driver for graphic card and gaming hardware such as xbox one and 360 controller, razor orbweaver, logitech mice and keyboards.

also has anyone noticed any bugs or issues with windows 10, it is romoured there is big patch coming late august.

Dell laptop: 8.1 to 10 Home no issues to report.
AMD APU media box currently moving from 7 to 8 to 8.1 to 10 pro.  Slow download on 10 so nothing to report there.

Windows 10 upgrade seems to have gone smoothly. Took about 2hrs to complete. I will report back here any issues or features that I like.
If you want to check out more about Windows 10 see this link: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/Windows-10-faq

If you don't want to wait for your upgrade to be ready check this out: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

One issue right off the bat - Battle report page is not compatible with Windows Edge (Microsoft's new browser) Says it wants IE, luckily I use Firefox instead.

Intel PC with 12GB of RAM - Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 10 Pro.

I know tht windows 10 still has a version of ie in it, just use the start search and start typing internet explorer and it comes up, not sure which version but i would suspect 12

anybody tried playing games yet or done any comparisions on performance for the games etc.

That is good to know Mr T, but until Edge becomes compatible I will continue to use Firefox or more modern browser than I.E.

I have played Battlefield Hardline for a few hours after the upgrade and haven't noticed a huge improvement in performance, but have noted a slight performance boost (maybe stability) in the OS overall.

It will take a few more hours of use to see if the improvements are actually there or if it is just the newness of the upgrade.*

*I don't have any performance software to monitor performance vs the previous version, I just note performance increases based on previous experience with older versions of Windows.
I have used almost every version of Windows (except the worst one,  Windows ME) since Windows 3.1.1.
