I just downloaded the W@W map "mp_kokoda" , and i don't know how to start it. it's not a zombie map but a multiplayer map based on the actual kokoda track. so can anyone help me get it going?

Also this got me thinking, maybe we could include a map on our server, maybe once a week or something. That is, a map that has been proven tested and appropriate for a crouch server. i have played on other servers that required a map download and they worked well.

A lot of people shy away from custom maps in COD. Mostly because the servers that run the custom maps often have other things going on that can screw up your profile. Nobody wants to have to rebuild their COD profile

I shy'd away from Custom Maps because of the download times and the opportunity for virus. I know the old days they were common, I'm just saying........I don't see our crowd in the server doing a download for whatever reason. MY one and a half cents.

Although I would love playing on the Kokoda track map having walked it in 2010, mods have always caused me grief in WaW. further, I don't believe our senior officers would be happy in running a mod'd map.

Ok thanks lads, well,  it was just a thought anyway, to do somethin a little different.
So how do i start a map up to have a gander at it anyway?

To run custom map I believe you go to mods custom maps host game then load in the map you want but I'll have to check on that when I get home
