I am not sure this is the right location to post this request for help; if not my apologies.
First, let me extend my appreciation for providing a server that is based on tactics as opposed to people aimlessly running around killing each other; you have made COD 5 enjoyable again. Second, and the reason why I am posting this message: This morning I received an error message and a prompt disconnect a few seconds after logging in. The error is a Punkbuster message which reads:
"Restriction service communication failure PnkBstrB.exe driver failure (PnkNstrk.sys) ffab."
I have updated my Punkbuster upon receiving this error, and even deleted the pb dir. and files and reinstalled it, but to no avail. Please help me.
Last, thank you again for providing us with a great server; I look forward to your reply so that I can play again.
Respecfully,
Heman "Arc" Sweet. (user name in game BH-ARC-105)
I got that a few times before, usually when I was using bittorent/limewire...etc. Or sometimes you just need to close the game and it will work.

Thank you for the quick reply, but I do not go to that site nor did I play any other games, but I was able to resolve the issue. Here is what I had to do.
Why: Well it appears that a file names PnkBstrk.sys become corrupted.
Location of file: Found in Windows\system32\drivers directory
Challenge: I could not delete this file as other programs were using it (that was the message back when I went to delete it) I even Alt+CTRL+DEL shut down all associated PunkBuster FIles with no luck
Instructions to fix: (some of the steps may not be necessary, but I took them)
1. Reboot in SAFE mode
2. go to the directory above and delete file mentioned
3. Reboot normally and log in if you need to (make sure you have admin rights).
4. Run pbsvc.exe click on uninstall to ensure PB is uninstalled completly
5. Run pbsvc.exe click on reinstall (Run test if not automatic)
6. Copy and run pbsetup.exe IN the Call of Duty directory and add new game
Things should work now--they did for me.
Good luck--I hope this helps.
Well, it is doing it again. I am getting booted, so I do not know what is going on. Perhaps someone else had a better idea before I uninstall my game and reinstall it...a task I am not looking forward to.
Also make sure punbuster a and punkbuster b are granted permission from your firewall. email me at
wesleymeyer [at] hotmail [dot] com and I will help you walk through the manual installation.
