Just like the title says. I believe there are monitors for $99 from Staples. I know they are out online but evidently they are going for $99 in stores. Here's the link.

Yep picked up 3 at my local stores. Might be a good idea if you're looking to play with 3 monitors or upgrade to a larger size. Just thought I would let my BK brothers know.

Can you let me know how good of an image these have. I am looking to upgrade from a Samsung 19in.
How is the gaming on this?

Thanks

I have a HD5770 which I run with 3 19" screens - but I can't get BF3 to work - it worked out of the box with BC2 so I need to do a bit of research on this.

It'll use the resolution properly, but most multi-monitor users only see player icons over their left screens, for some reason. And some of the light glare effects get stretched to 3x their normal.. okay on day map, but horrid on night-time maps. Though if you run the game at a non-native triple-wide resolution, teh player icons become visible, but the HUD gets pushed to the inside edge of the outer screens...

It's pretty lame. It didn't take long for BC2 to get proper multi-monitor support, so I expect that BF3 will be fixed "soon". I'm sure it's not too high on their list of bugfix priorities.Sad  There's a big thread about it all at WSGF. I'm sure thei members will coem up with a fix before DICE does. They're pretty good at that stuff...

Moosehead, I would jump on one of these. Considering the price, you aren't really doing much at all to get a much larger screen. The image is good and the gaming is just as good as my Acer monitor. I actually didn't buy these to use. I am trying to turn a profit on them  Wink  But thanks anyways for the links Chud.

Although the luminous tube is cold light source, but LED efficiency is low, in high photosynthetic

efficiency/luminous efficiency (each tile lumen or lm/W) LED lamps and lanterns applications need to enter a large

amount of electrical energy to convert light energy. Large current in the semiconductor material will produce

conductivity resistance heat, add semiconductor material production LED is not able to bear or endure high

temperature, leading to overheat make LED lamp light output rate and life greatly reduced.
The correct thermal management and design to highly efficient LED lamps and lanterns work temperature control in

the acceptable range, so as to guarantee the reliability of the lamps and lanterns, life and the best light

output, etc. Figure 2 for ordinary LED lamps and lanterns structure diagram, black arrow said the LED module to

cooling heat sink heat conduction path.
